David M. Franklin, C.P.A., J.D.

A Milwaukee, Wisconsin native, David M. Franklin received his Bachelors of Business Administration degree in Accounting from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee and his Juris Doctor (law) degree from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.  After gaining practical experience with the national firms of Haskins and Sells and Touche Ross in the late 1960s, David joined his father-in-law, in what is now Kohler and Franklin, LLC, in 1970.  As both a Certified Public Accountant and Attorney, David M. Franklin has been involved with various Wisconsin Institute of Certified Public Accountants and State Bar of Wisconsin continuing education programs for both professions and co-authored the American Bar Association’s popular “1040 Handbook, A Guide to Income and Asset Discovery” reference title.  He is also active in the firm’s Litigation Support practice.

David M. Franklin, C.P.A., J.D. has led Kohler and Franklin, Certified Public Accountants since 1991.  He is a member of the Wisconsin Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the State Bar of Wisconsin.
